A Prayer for Watering
Bryony a member of Hazelnut came across this stunning cinnabar moth caterpillar whilst watering. Our new friend will feed on Ragwort and turn into a spectacular red and black moth.
As it warms up a bit there are so many incredible things we can see and find as we water our gardens. There is a lot to be said about how to water sustainably. However, today we want to focus on watering as a place of prayer and peace amid a sometimes overwhelming world. Below we have attached a Hazelnut prayer you can use as you water your garden.
Dear Creator of all things,
As I water this garden, I thank You for the gift of life and the beauty of nature. Bless this water to nourish the seeds and plants, bringing forth growth and new life. May all life in this garden flourish under your loving care. Help me to tend it with patience and love, remembering the wonder of your creation.
Creator God I give to you all that I carry today, all that I struggle to hold, and all that I find joy in. May I also encounter your waters of new life so that I may encounter growth and new life.
Amen.
